In addition to the skill system, characters can learn from 1 to 4 individual professions. Characters can gain profession points (PPS) by raising a skill called 'Profession', whose cost is equal to that of Hitpoints. At level 20, every character acquires this skill. All non arch classes can raise this skill to 50, Arches can raise it to 100.

Characters can subsequently spend their PPS by doing an apprenticeship with a teacher either to learn a new profession, or to increase their knowledge of a profession they have already begun to master. Learning or improving a profession will require the character to pay for his studies in gold.

A Tunnel Explorer is specialized in the traversal of the Long Tunnel, gaining +5 speed per PPS when in the area. Additionally, you will get a 1-2.5% chance to regen 1hp for every creeper you kill (chance based on PPS).  Additionally, A master Tunnel Explorer, at level 100 or higher, will get +1 WIAS mod in Tunnels for each tunnel 90+ they have completed 10(5 now?) times.
